Canada -Russia Challenge Game 3

What a game. It makes me wish I had been able to see the 1st two that were played in Russia. Unfortunately work prevented that.

In one way, we lost 6-5, it was disappointing but overall it was an exciting. There were over 8000 people in the Metro Centre to watch. The Russians opened the scoring and while the game was tied at various points the Canadians never took the lead. At times the Canadians were on fire. Playing hard and with skill. At other times they seemed to lack drive and made too many give aways. Give aways that lead to Russian goals. The boys kept fighting back but the Russians proved to be too much.

Hopefully Game 4, tomorrow night, will be better for Canada. IF the team can win the game in regulation time it leaves the series tied at 2 games a piece. In the original 2 series any tie would lead to the winner being determined by the goal differential. If this was used it means Canada would have to beat Russia tomorrow by 5 goals to win the series.

This series is different though. If Canada can win in Regulation time it will lead to an overtime to determine the winner. I like that. :)

Here is hoping the boys can pull it off tomorrow night. I will be there cheering them on.
