Rob Ford Crack Addict

When did the standards of journalism sink so low that supposedly reputable media outlets would make allegations based on video that they (3 "reporters") either only saw a short clip of or never saw at all?

Is Mayor Ford an asshole? At times yeah. Is he a crack addict? I am looking at a picture of him as I type this and find it hard to believe that someone his size is a crack addict.

He is being attacked in the media based on ... what? A video no one can see but the 3 "reporters" who saw it claim it is legitimate. BUT they need some rubes to donate money in order to raise $200,000 to buy the video. I wonder what happens to the money if they can't buy it?

Rob Ford is in a catch 22 situation. If he speaks out against the claim he gives more fuel to the "media" who are using it to attack him. If he doesn't they claim his silence is proof. Tough position to be in.

So far he has said he is not an addict and there is no video. What else can he say?

Isn't the onus on these "reporters" to prove their assertion? Shouldn't the media have actually had the video to use as proof before reporting this? Before trying to destroy someone's career? Their life?

Shit Morons Say ... when shooting their mouth off.

"I watched the Benghazi thing with great interest, Sean. I think it is one of the worst incidences, frankly, that I can recall in my career."

The above comment was made by Dick Cheney to Sean Hannity on the FOX show Hannity  on Monday.

I guess Dick has memory problems. During his career 9-11 happened among many other things. Yet this is the worst he has seen? Maybe he meant to say worst he has seen not under a Republican Government?

What a dick.

Shit Morons Say ... when making an analogy.

"It is makes me feel like those 3 women who were held captive for 10 years."

I work with a guy that keeps raising the bar for stupid comments. We (Him, D-man, Ash (a woman), and myself) were talking about a regulation (Government) that was brought to our attention by management. It applies to our work place and can lead to a fine of $1000 and/or 1 year in jail. Plus the company would be fined $25,000. IF the regulation was violated.

This caused ... hmmm if I would like to use his real nickname, because the story behind it is HILARIOUS ... but I won't ... let's call him Glimmer. Glimmer felt that once again the oppressive jackboot of authority was stepping on our neck. He tried to make an analogy to show how it made him felt so he said;

"You know, the way they keep regulating us makes me feel like those 3 women in the US that were held captive for 10 years!"

Ash's jaw dropped. D-man was just staring at Glimmer. I shook my head and said.

"You are REALLY trying to use an analogy that working her compares to what those women went through? Seriously?"

Glimmer stepped back and stammered "Yes. It is that oppressive."

"You are fucking moron." I said. "Those women were chained, raped, tortured, and treated like dirt. You were told that if you swear on the radio and a Government organization hears it you COULD be punished. Next you will be comparing working here to a nazi concentration camp. That is a HORRIBLE analogy."

"I think it is a good one. " He replied.

The others shook their head no and said it was a horrible analogy.

Glimmer walked away shrugging his shoulders. He just didn't understand why it was wrong. The rest of us just shared a moment of shocked silence at his stupidity.

Ash said "Now you see what I have to work with every day."

"I will tell you about the Christmas Party one day." I said. "I didn't think he could get stupider, but he has."
