You are cranky!

Someone starts telling me a story about someone I barely know. They didn't follow through on something they said they would do for another party.

My reply is "Why are you telling me this?"

The person regaling me with the story retorts that they thought I would be interested. I let them know that I am not interested, the problem is between the two people and has nothing to do with me. In fact, it is none of my business, it is their business.

So they start to go on about it again. I cut them off and say "What part of I am not interested in this story do you not understand? It is none of my business. I am not even interested in it. It is idle gossip about someone I barely know. "

Their reply "You are cranky!"

To which I said "Seriously? What the hell does cranky have to do with it. I am now pissed off. Cranky? Your story didn't make me cranky it made me go from apathetic to insulted because you failed to comprehend that I don't want to hear your story. I am not interested in your gossip. If that is the only thing you had to talk to me about silence would have been better.

Fuck me! Why is it so hard for people to understand when someone is SO BLATANT about not wanting to hear about someone or something? Your audience is NOT interested. Try some new material before your show gets cancelled.

The person  above does this a lot. I had enough of it today which is why I got "cranky". Hilda was this way. Odds are she still is. Hell, my mother does this a lot too. But I am more polite about it when dealing with her. It just boggles the mind that they keep doing it.

What the ... clash of reasoning?!?!??

It is kind of funny when you think of it.

I like crappy weather and cold weather because it means I can take Grizzly to the park and not usually run into people with their dogs off leash. If you want to avoid people it seems like the perfect time to go.

Some people who like letting their dogs run loose, where they shouldn't, like to take them on crappy days because the chance of running into other people is slim.

Same reasoning for different reasons.

What the ... clarification?!?!?

(Another post written months ago and posted late.)

The Provincial Government changed a speeding law last year. As soon as I heard about it I knew there would be problems with it. It wasn't clear enough. Yes, I know, what a surprise, the Government wasn't clear in making a law. ;)

They changed the speed limit in school zones. It is now 30 KPH when children are present. How is that not clear? It made me wonder does it only apply when kids are PHYSICALLY present in the school yard or does it mean when school is in?

For me it didn't cause a problem, I would just do 30 KPH whenever I was in a school zone to be safe. However, I could see some people being confused about it and having a fit when they got ticketed.

Now it turns out the Police are confused by it and have had to ask the Government to clarify what it means.

Gotta love how Government can fuck up something that should have been so simple.

Sirius XM The Tardery Moves on

So ... when I bought my new car Sirius XM came with it. They suck. You have to pay for them AND they come with commercials. Commercials that have nothing to do with the content you are listening to. For example, if you are listening to NHL Radio you WILL get commercials for other channels.  Wait ... what the kimchi ... you get commercials! If I am paying for a channel why the fuck am I getting commercials?!?!?!?

Hell, you get lengthy sports updates for other sports. I have the hockey channel on waiting for updates andf instead I had to listen to 5+ minutes about Golf. If I had wanted  to hear about golf I would have tuned into the golf channel.

On top of that, you have the fact that IF a company had anything to do with you in any way in the last 6 months their call centres can bother you. Which means being on a the No Call list doesn't protect you.

I share a land line phone where I live, in a basement apartment. Sirius Xm's call center, with someone with a distinctly Indian (India Indian) accent  rambled on to the Upper Dwellers about when to contact me. (This after I told them not to bother calling me again repeatedly.) They feigned ignorance.  Upstairs was more polite than I would have been. I would have told him to fuck off. And teh next time they called while I was home I did.

It has been a months since Sirius tried contacting me. (I had actually written this the night of their last call when I told them off. Just getting around to posting it. ;)) Odds are I will get a call from them soon.

Shit People Say ... when lying about calling.

"I called you several times and got no answer!"

Why the fuck someone would believe they could get away with this lie is beyond me. Sure in the days before caller ID you could. But now just about everyone has caller ID. Hell most people have cell phones and are always near them.

Two of my sisters LOVE using this whopper. Even though they KNOW all their siblings have caller ID.

"I tried calling you 5 times last week."

"Really? According to caller ID you never called last week."

Silence ... "oh" ... move on to next lie.

Fucktards.

John Carter

I grew up reading the John Carter books by Edgar Rice Burroughs.  (Along with Tarzan and most other works he produced.) I read the comics. Hell, I even played the strategy board game. So when I heard a movie came out I was excited. Life kept me busy and I never got to watch it until two nights ago.

I had heard the critics panned it. No one I knew had actually seen it. I figured what the hell. DL and watch it.

It wasn't that bad. It wasn't a great movie. It was disappointing in many ways. Yet it wasn't that bad. Not as bad a the critics made it out to be. My main problems with it;

It changed the initial book/story too much.

The Tharks didn't look muscular or tall enough.

The tattoos instead of armbands/jewelry.

Little things like that.

Overall, it is worth watching if you don't have anything to better to do.

A Crack in the Ford Case

CBC NewsWorld just reported that the much touted video showing Rob Ford smoking crack is gone. The head of Gawker, the head Gawker?, has been heard from. According to his go between with the video owners it no longer exists. It is gone. If it ever existed.

We have the word of three "reporters" that the video existed and Ford was on it. Yet no video. The Gawker has raised over $200,000 to buy the video which now can't be found.

Bravo media fucktards. I refuse to refer to them as reporters any more. You ran your mouths off without having the actual video in your possession to back you up. You have set yourselves up for a nasty libel suit that you should lose. You tarred a man's reputation with no proof ... just your "word" that the video is real and Ford is really in it. And people wonder why the media has a bad name?

I am not a Ford fan but I don't like to see shit like this happen. The Gawker should be forced to donate the money they raised to the charity of Rob Ford's choice at the LEAST.

I hope he sues the fucktards.
